UK govt spokesman out with a statement 19 July
- will meet tomorrow (Thurs) for first time
- will be attended by business leaders representing a range of sectors
- council to be chaired by PM May
- will be a regular dedicated forum for high-level engagement between UK govt and business
- attendees for each meeting will change on a rolling basis
- UK will probably need to set up fewer than 10 new regulators after Brexit
Let's hope it serves some real purpose rather than being just a token gesture.
I wonder if they might want someone from the foreign exchange industry?!
