The great start to the year in the stock market continues

S&P 500 rallies for a second day

It's a new year for the stock market but it's the same old story as the S&P 500 continues to climb. A tepid start to the day has transformed into a 12 point rally in the S&P 500 to a record 2708. Energy and IT are leading the way in part due to a 1.6% climb in crude.

At some point this year the sizzle will turn into a pop but for now the rocket ship continues to blast higher.
