The committee released a statement over the weekend on virtual currencies. Well, better late than never I guess.
Bitcoin has had a rather "slow" day in trading today, as it hovers around the $13,200 - $13,800 region. Currently down 1% on the day at $13,597 according to Coinbase's GDAX exchange.
