The founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, tweeted out an odd message on Saturday
Vitalik Buterin is a 24-year old programmer and also founder of Ethereum - the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, according to CoinMarketCap.
Anyway, here is the full tweet:
Reminder: cryptocurrencies are still a new and hyper-volatile asset class, and could drop to near-zero at any time. Don't put in more money than you can afford to lose. If you're trying to figure out where to store your life savings, traditional assets are still your safest bet.

It's a rather odd message but contains some words of wisdom like "don't put in more money than you can afford to lose".
The responses to his message has been a little mixed with some users replying with tweets that Mr. Buterin is causing "unnecessary panic" and even questioning if he was "feared into the statement".
Cryptocurrencies in general has seen a solid rebound from recent lows, with Bitcoin now trading over $10,000 while Ethereum and Litecoin are at about $925 and $215 respectively.
