No surprise from one of the most hawkish Fed members but his follow up comment is a bit more interesting — he says the Fed will eventually need to taper of QE, not halt it outright. He also wants to start the taper this year ‘provided the economy keeps improving’.
IF the hawks aren’t even daydreaming about ending the program, QE will continue for a long time.
He spoke in an interview with Reuters.
