Nasdaq composite rises by 1.16% for the week
The US major stock indices rose in the current week. The NASDAQ composite index rose by 1.16%, the S&P index rose by 0.9%, and the Dow industrial average rose by 0.77%.
The biggest gainer in the euro zone was the euro stoxx index which rose by a modest 0.45%. The German Dax and French Cac index were virtually unchanged. The UK FTSE fell by -0.59.
In the Asia-Pacific region, the Shanghai composite was the big gainer rising by 6.54%.
