US stocks end down on the day/down on the week

The US major stock indices were down on the day and for the week.

The S&P index led the decline for the day falling by 0.63%. The Nasdaq index fell by -0.55%. The Dow fell by -0.64%.

For the week, the S&P fell by -1.10% while the Dow industrials fell by -1.5% and the Nasdaq composite fell by -0.41%.

Globally, this week the German Dax was the worst performer in Europe - falling by -3.80%. The only gainers for the week were in Japan and Australia.
