US PCE core for July +0.1% vs 0.1% estimate.

Core PCE YoY 1.6% vs 1.5% estimate

The headline PCE deflator rose by 0.0% for the month which was as expected. The YoY deflator was also as expected at 0.8%. Overall, the data was as expected with the exception of the Core YoY rounded up on the month to 1.6% from 1.5% estimate. The value was actually a touch lower from last month but remains at 1.6% for the year (see chart below).
