Its not a packed economic data calendar for the Asian timezone today, but there is some central bank activity to come

Eco data:

2230GTM from Australia, Weekly consumer sentiment (prior 115.4)

2350GMT from Japan, monetary base data for December (prior 32.5% y/y)

Central bankers:

2230GMT - The focus will be a speech from the Federal Reserve San Francisco president John Williams. The topic of his speech is the implementation of macroprudential policies, which may not be of much note for traders, but it will be followed by a Q&A with the press, where I expect Williams will comment on the economy and monetary policy.

A little later, due at 0710GMT (so, into the UK morning) Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Kuroda will give a speech. Its to be brief one at a Rengo labor union event.
