NY Fed Nowcast for 2Q GDP little changed at 1.9%

Q3 stays at 1.5%

The estimate for 2Q GDP from the NY Fed, shows little change in the current week. The GDP growth estimate came in at 1.88%, up slightly from 1.86% last week. Rounded, that comes to 1.9%.

For the 3Q their estimate also remains little changed from last week. Last week the estimate was 1.54%. This week it is 1.55%.

That is not the 3% (initial thoughts from Trump) or even the 2.2% that the Fed in it's recent projections for GDP growth for 2017 pegged it.

If you are looking for better news from the Atlanta Fed today, their estimate for 2Q GDP stood at a more robust 2.9%. However, they won't release their next estimate until Monday.
