Officials are tracking the missile launch
A report saying the missile had fallen into the sea was corrected to say it may fall into the sea near Japan.
US and international officials have confirmed they're tracking the launch.
Update: This does not appear to be a short-range missile and the Pentagon said the launch was from a mobile launcher and took place at approximately 1:30 pm ET.
