Saunders to replace Martin Weale:
George Osborne said Michael Saunders will replace the hawkish Martin Weale, who is scheduled to step down in July.
I believe this is the same Michael Saunders who was the chief UK economists and head of European economics at Citigroup (update: I've confirmed it's him). Here's a chart-heavy presentation he did a few years ago (pdf).
In this video from 2013, he sounds awfully dovish (and he was right).
