The main parties are having their say in parliament

By and large the parties so far are in favour of staying in. Obviously opposition parties are giving their support whilst trying to tell Cameron what he's doing wrong and what they've done right with Europe previously.

This confirmation is important in the exit trade as it puts them all in the same boat. It also marginalises the dissenters and those who will campaign to leave.

Those dissenters will be in the minority but in the wonderful world of the UK press, they will have the loudest voices.

The long and short is that the voters will largely follow their political party line. As they all want to stay in, that's the most probably outcome.

Lots still to happen and many days to go but these events give us a clue of the underlying sentiment from the political parties.
