Robotic Industries Association reports on robot orders
31,464 robots, valued at $1.8 billion, were ordered from North American companies last year, marking a 14% increase in units and an 11% y/y increase.
The automotive, semiconductor and electronics industries led the way and there are now more than 260,000 robots working in US factories. Top jobs were industrial, including coating and dispensing, material handling and spot welding.
