The first hurdle cleared

It's no surprise to see the vote pass the procedural stage. The bad news is that the procedural vote was scheduled in the 10:15 am ET to 11:15 range. The voting is just finishing up so we're in the latter 15 minutes of that timeframe.

The timeframe for the final vote is 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm ET. There is a certain amount of debating and procedure that needs to take place before the vote.

Rodney Frelinghuysen, who is a moderate, is out with a Facebook post saying he won't support the bill. He was one of the ones that were unsure and he's Chair of the House Appropriations Committee. That puts him in a leadership position and they usually fall in line with the top brass.

Freedom Caucus leaders are also saying they are still a 'no'.

It's not looking good but the stock market is at the highs of the day. Unless you're a Republican whip, you don't really have a way of knowing which way it will go but you would think that with the late-day timeline, there would be some people moving to the sidelines.
