The Eurogroup has now resumed its discussions after breaking last night following a 9 hour session

Here's some of the latest comments from those attending and there's no doubting the uphill road ahead

Draghi: arrived and refused to say anything

Austria's Schelling:

  • sees very difficult Greek talks, still no agreement on a number of points
  • still need to seek sufficient Greek guarantees

Finland's Stubb:

  • no one is blocking a Greek deal but conditions provided by them are not enough
  • still hopeful but a deal is very far away

Italy's Padoan:

  • biggest obstacle to Greek deal is lack of trust

(between them and Greece or amongst themselves?)

  • would like to see Greek parliament taking measures from tomorrow that needed for Greece in the first place
  • 5 months have been wasted but things are changing
  • Greece has committed to start showing its will to implement reforms as from tomorrow

Slovakia's Kazmir:

  • Greece must front-load reforms to achieve a deal
  • it is not possible to reach a deal today
