Starting to say goodbye to the worst of winter

Most of the January/February winter data is behind us with Personal Spending, Personal Income, PCE, and Pending home sales for February being reported today.

That leaves the following releases from pre-March left to be released

  • S&P Case Schiller (Jan and Feb still to be reported. January data will be released tomorrow)
  • Construction spending for February (April 1)
  • Trade balance for February (April 2).
  • Factory orders for February (April 2). Durable goods, which is a portion of factory orders, were released last week. It showed a larger than expected decline of -.4%
  • Business and wholesale inventories are also to be released for the month of February.

With winter nearly behind us, the Fed and the market should start to get "cleaner" data that should give an indication of where the dust has settled after the snowy and cold winter months.

Who really wants to go out in this type of weather (somewhere in New Jersey)?
