Not a huge day for data in Asia, but some important pieces nevertheless.

We've already had some NZ data back at the top of the hour, ANZ Job ads for February came in at +0.9% m/m (prior was -2.9%)

Still to come:

2230GMT - Reserve Bank of Australia - Luci Ellis, Head of Financial Stability Department speaks at a "Risk Day" conference.

Speakers will cover:

  • circumstances connected with irrational exuberance in domestic housing and other financial markets
  • factors contributing to changes in market behaviour and investment risk
  • volatility in global financial markets
  • new tools to analyse changes in economic indicators

In her role as head of the Financial Stability Department Ellis is at the pointy end of watching for risks from factors such as extended house prices & extended borrowings and how this impacts on the financial system. If she has anything to say I'll stick it up, as it could have implications for RBA policy.

0000GMT - New Zealand - ANZ Consumer Confidence Index for March, prior of 119.7

0130GMT - China - February Property prices
