US machinery giant now out with less than impressive results

- sees 2016 world economy GDP of +2.8%
- H2 results have been more negatively affected by declining oil and gas sales
- says 2016 sales and revenue will be around 5% lower
Elsewhere NASDAQ Inc reported Q3 EPS of $0.80 vs $0.86 exp and revenues of $0.53bln as exp
3M report Q3 EPS $2.05 vs $2.0 exp and revenues of $7.71bln vs $7.84bln exp. They've also announced a restructuring plan
All in all not a great picture and one that the US Fed will be taking on board for sure
