The Columbus day holiday may have had an impact on seasonal adjustments. The 4-week MA is 265K. This is the lowest since Dec 1973. Low.
The continuing claims came in at 2158K vs 2200 k estimate and prior week at 2208K.
The USDs initial move has been higher after the data.
