The first takeaway is that Ryan isn't throwing Trump under the bus. But he's not exactly getting into bed with him either.
The line about Comey not immediately reporting it is turning into a Republican talking point.
Here's a theory: House and Senate Republicans will realize that the best way to distance themselves from Trump will be to craft their own bills on healthcare, taxes and infrastructure. They won't want to be viewed as frozen while Trump goes from crisis to crisis.
