Iraq, Oman and Kuwait not on board

There are several reports that Iraq is only supporting a six-month quota extension but that Saudi energy minister Khalid al-Falih has flown to Baghdad to salvage a plan for a longer deal today.

"All producers agree on the idea of extending the deal but the duration will be decided during meeting," said OPEC Secretary-General Mohammed Barkindo at a news conference today.

Expect plenty of twists and turns this week.

A separate report says Oman also only wants a six-month extension.

Update: Evidently this news has been out there for a few hours.
