Mothers Day in US, Canada, Germany, Australia...Is it in your country this weekend?
This Sunday is Mother's Day in the US and Canada. It is also celebrated in Australia, Germany and Japan (according to Google). I am sure it must be celebrated in other countries as well.
I am blessed with my Mother. She, and my father are still doing well in North Carolina. I unfortunately will not be able to see her this weekend. However, she remains at the top of my "Heroes in my life" list.
So Happy Mothers Day Mom, and Happy Mothers Day to all the Mom's out there.
PS I received an email from the US Census that outlined everything and anything you might want to know about Mom's in the US. Included is the list of the Top 10 names for Baby Boys and Girls in 2016. I wouldn't have guessed the names in a million years....

Mother's Day: May 14, 2017
Anna Jarvis organized the first Mother's Day observances in Grafton, W.Va., and Philadelphia, Pa., on May 10, 1908. As the annual celebration became popular around the country, Jarvis became the driving force behind Mother's Day and asked members of Congress to set aside a day to honor mothers. She succeeded in 1914, when Congress designated the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day.
