Some comments by Coincheck via its scheduled press conference

Coincheck was also slapped with a business improvement order by Japan's Financial Services Agency earlier here.
The exchange was hacked back in January, and lost up to $600 million worth of NEM. Since then, Japanese authorities have been a little more strict on cryptocurrency regulation in the country and have even suspended certain exchanges as highlighted in the first link above.
