The earth continues to tremble in Japan with the earthquake magnitude picking up to 7.2. Yesterday, the quake registered 6.1 and causes some structural damage and causalities. The tsunami warning is for a slight sea level change - now being reported as a wave of 1 meter in height - but with no damage expected (according to reports).

The USDJPY remains below the 100 and 200 hour MAs at 108.88-109.00. The Midpoint of the weeks range is at 108.67.

If the earthquakes caused widespread damage in largely populated area, the USDJPY would likely decline as a result of the repatriation of funds for rebuilding.
