USD/CAD touched off some critical levels but has slipped back

WTI crude oil is now up 90-cents on the day to $45.89 after falling as low as $44.35 earlier.

USD/CAD traded at a session high of 1.3270 but has slipped back to 1.3219. Yesterday USD/CAD rose to the best level since March but later slipped back and closed below to July highs.

The levels to watch intraday and on the close are the July high of 1.3253 and the 200-day moving average of 1.3237.

Technically, USD/CAD could easily get to 1.35 on a breakout but it's all about OPEC and oil at the moment. The latest headlines look like there is a good chance that OPEC announces something bullish today, or at least promises some kind of cut will come in November.
