Oh really ? So why have they stood back and watch SSI Redcar close down?

And now we have Tata Steel laying off 1200 workers and warning of a crisis in the UK steel industry

Perhaps instead of kowtowing to Chinese president XI today with a banquet at Buckingham Palace with the Queen, and the govt desperate for a signature on recently negotiated trade deals, they should stick him on a train to these steel plants and see what damage his country's cheap, poor-quality, exports do to communities

The UK government has a lot to answer for here both present and past, not least of which why they chose to support the banks but not the steel industry and it's workforce.

A topic for discussion as I head out now and journey 3 hours north to watch the mighty Shrimpers

Good trading everyone

Dark days for the UK steel industry
