UK Chancellor George Osborne is to meet with US investors in New York on Monday

Reuters report Osborne will be urging them to "stick with Britain despite last month's vote to leave the European Union"

Says Mr. O:

  • "While Britain's decision to leave the EU clearly presents economic challenges, we now have to do everything we can to make the UK the most attractive place in the world to do business"

I don't think he will have any trouble whatsoever convincing investors to 'stick with Britain'. Investors around the world are ramping up M&A queries looking to take advantage of any distressed UK businesses that happen to come up for sale, especially with GBP plummeting. I reckon George might be looking for a job, and its so nice of the taxpayers to foot the bill for his canvassing.

Osborne is in the US this week, and he's off on a similar mission to Singapore and China the week after.
