Oil jumps as Russia says Turkey planning to invade Syria
Oil quickly rises near $33 on the headlines
"We have serious grounds to suspect intensive preparations by Turkey for a military invasion on the territory of the sovereign state of Syria," Major General Igor Konashenkov, Defense Ministry spokesman, told journalists.
Oil rallied to $32.90 from $32.21 on the headline.
The gains break yesterday's oil high.
The Canadian dollar is near the lows of the day but there hasn't been much of a reaction in CAD.
