The G7 summit in Sicily ended yesterday with agreement on trade 28 May

It was a meeting of mixed outcome with Trump and his G7 colleagues finally agreeing on trade/protectionism but not climate change.

In a tweet after his plane left for the US Trump said he had had "great meetings on everything, especially on trade", highlighting the part of the communique which called "for the removal of all trade-distorting practices".

He made no mention of protectionism but reserved judgment on the Paris Accord on climate change, something which he has previously considered a hoax tweeting;

"I will make my final decision on the Paris Accord next week!"

His apparent reluctance to embrace the first-ever legally binding global climate deal that was signed by 195 countries clearly annoyed Angela Merkel who told reporters:

"The entire discussion about climate was very difficult, if not to say very dissatisfying.There are no indications whether the United States will stay in the Paris Agreement or not."

Putting a positive spin on it Emmanuel Macron said he was sure Trump, who he praised as "pragmatist", would back the deal having listened to his G7 counterparts.

Perhaps more importantly we have reports of China being "strongly dissatisfied" with the mention of the East and South China Sea issues in a G7 statement which said they were concerned by the situation in the South China Sea and East China Sea. They also called for a demilitarization of "disputed features".

Says China;

"The G7 allies should stop making irresponsible remarks"

In a time of great uncertainty over N.Korea and the region in general it would appear all is not as one in the attempt to combine efforts to find a peaceful solution.

Nothing of note on forex per se, trade agreement pledge notwithstanding but we didn't expect it, and in any case there are bigger fish to fry out there right now.
