September 30, 2016. The NZD is the strongest. The CHF is the weakest.

The strongest currency is the NZD. The weakest is the CHF. The story is the weakness in the CHF pairs. SNB intervention? No comment from the central bank but the pairs with CHF attached are showing CHF weakness (see Mike's warnings here).

The USD is stronger against most currencies with the exception of the NZD. The EURUSD has tumbled to new week lows after nearly 3 days of up and down chop. The pair is testing the 200 day MA at 1.1158 as NY traders enter for the day.

The changes show the EURUSD and USDCHF at extremes. The other USD pairs are nearer the middle of the ranges. The ranges (lower graph) outline the leaders and laggards with regard to volatility. The EURUSD, USDJPY and USDCHF are leading the way with the ranges near their 22-day averages. That is where the action is today.
