The JPY is the strongest. The CHF is the weakest.

The JPY is the strongest currency in trading today, while the CHF is the weakest. The USD is mixed, rising against the EUR, GBP, CHF and CAD and down against the JPY, AUD and NZD.

Stocks are mostly lower. US bond yields are lower German IFO data was higher at 111.00 vs 109.9. UK GDP 2nd estimate was higher at +0.7% vs +0.6% but Prelim Business investment was lower than expected at -1.0 (est +0.1%). EU CPI came in as expected.

In the NA session CAD Retail sales are expected to come in at 0.0% vs +0.2% (ex auto +0.9% vs +0.5% last). At 10 AM ET, US existing home sales are est. to rise to 5.55M vs 5.49M last.

FOMC Powell speaks at 1 PM ET/1800 GMT. At 2 PM the FOMC meeting minutes will be eyed for clues for March. At 3 PM BOE MPC Shafik speaks.

Looking at the changes and ranges, the JPY pair are all near low levels for the day with the EURJPY and the GBPJPY leading the way to the downside.The crosses are more volatile today with the mixed USD.

WTI oil is down $0.41 to $53.92.

Spot gold is up $2.46 or 0.19% to $1238.07
