39,000 striking workers to go back on the job

The WSJ reports that an east coast strike of Verizon workers is close to ending after an 'agreement in principle' was reached.

"I expect that workers will be back on the job next week," U.S. Labor Secretary Thomas Perez said.

The striking workers may weigh heavily on the May jobs report but if they deal is successful, the June number will show a bounce back. The Fed is unlikely to be swayed by either and economists should be able to factor it into forecasts (or maybe I'm asking too much).
