US consumers to spend more this year
A Conference Board survey reports that US households plan to spend $576 on gifts this holiday season, up from $538 last year. That's a more than 7% increase.
They cite job growth, low gas prices and solid consumer confidence as factors.
The other part of the story is how many consumers say they plan to shop online but this chart already tells you that.
