Putin says downing of Russian jet a 'stab in the back'
"We understand that everyone has their own interests but we won't allow such crimes to take place," Putin said after Turkey downed a Russian jet.
The two pilots were reportedly killed by militants.
Putin said the plane was 1 km from the Turkish border and it was "obvious" that the plane "in now way threatened the Republic of Turkey."
Putin was also miffed that Turkey reached out to NATO before Russia. "Instead of immediately making the necessary contact with us, the Turkish side turned to their partners in NATO for talks on this incident," he said.
Putin also accused Turkey of funding Islamic State by processing large quantities of oil entering via Syria.
