Tuesday sees a host of central bank heads speaking in Paris

The Banque de France is holding a farewell symposium for Christian Noyer who served for 12 years as governor of the bank and 6 as the president of the BIS. Anyone who's anyone is there and the event lasts for most of the day, so we'll be on comment watch for most of it

Here's the run down of the main speakers and the time's they're on (all Paris times)

10:50-11:10 Welcome Address

  • François VILLEROY de GALHAU, Governor,

11:10-11:30 Keynote Speech

  • Christian NOYER, Honorary Governor, BDF; former BIS Board Chair

11:30-13:00 BEYOND THE ZERO LOWER BOUND: LESSONS FOR MONETARY POLICY?

  • Stanley FISCHER, Vice Chair, US Federal Reserve Board
  • Haruhiko KURODA, Governor, Bank of Japan
  • Peter PRAET, Executive Board Member, ECB

14:45-15:15 Guest Speech,

15:15-16:45 LEGACY FOR BUSINESS MODELS AND FINANCIAL STABILITY?

  • Jens WEIDMANN, President, Bundesbank; BIS Board Chair
  • Mark CARNEY, Governor, Bank of England; Chair, Financial Stability Board
  • Agustin CARSTENS CARSTENS, Governor, Banco de México; Chair, IMFC

16:45-17:00 Closing Address,

  • Jaime CARUANA, General Manager, BIS

So as you can see, there's some heavy hitters on there. I don't think there's a big risk for any inflammatory comments but some of these are speaking for the first time this year so there's scope to hear some new reaction comments to the Fed hike, particularly from people like Praet and Weidmann

Carney is due to speak but unfortunately he won't be saying anything about BOE policy or anything of note to do with the economy, on account of the embargo he'll be under with the BOE announcement on Thursday. I'm surprised he's there anyway but that only goes to highlight that his comments won't be significant

While it's a private event it will be broadcast live by the bank and we'll bring you the link before it starts

But that's not all folks. Later on at 19.00GMT ECB's Sabine Lautenschlaeger speaks to the Zonta Club in Frankfurt, and at 20.15GMT the Fed's Jeffery Lacker speaks in South Carolina, and there will be audience questions

A big day for talking heads chatting about lessons for monetary policy and financial stability. Only one song fits that bill ;-)
