Pentagon spokesman on North Korean test
The North Korean missile test appears to be an intermediate-range ballistic missile according to the Pentagon. They say it is a land-based variant of their submarine-launched missile.
A UN Security Council meeting has been called over the test.
The Pukguksong-2 missile is powered by a solid fuel engine -- which requires a far shorter preparation time than conventional liquid fuel-powered missiles.
