What the trends are looking at after the fact
Below is a snap shot of some of the details from the October US employment report. As a review the expectation was 185K jobs - 271K were created. The unemployment rate fell to 5.0% (as expected). The hourly earnings rose by a greater than expected 0.4% (0.2% expected). The professional and business sector added the most jobs.
Overall, a strong report.
