After the fly-by of doves in the past few days, Jon Hilsenrath at the Journal says the chances of a Federal Reserve interest-rate increase in 2015 are diminishing

He also cites the data:

  • New signs of anemic economic activity ... on consumer spending, inflation and jobs
  • Have virtually eliminated the chances of a move this month
  • Two Fed governors expressed doubts this week about whether the timing will be right this year

(Hilsenrath mentions Brainard and Tarullo ... I reckon it started in earnest with Fischer over the weekend: "He is beginning to lay the groundwork for a potential big back-pedal from the Committee" Fischer is vice-chair ... he's a big swinging you-know-what)
