The last 'Trade of the decade' I can recall has been, so far, an absolute stinker:
The China stockmarket (To be fair to the chap, it was a 2 - 3 year view and we are less than a year into it, more at the link ... and, errr, if you still like it its much cheaper now! :-D ):

OK, so here's the newest 'trade of the decade', from Research Affiliates LLC, described as a sub-adviser to Pacific Investment Management Co. (PIMCO). (No, I don't know what a sub-adviser is either.)
"The exodus from emerging markets is a wonderful opportunity -- and quite possibly the trade of a decade -- for the long-term investor," Christopher Brightman, chief investment officer at Research Affiliates, said in a post on Pimco's website Wednesday. "We are increasingly confident of our positioning in emerging market stocks and bonds."
At least they aren't buying in at the top.
What says ForexLive? I must admit I can see good points in their arguments.
