Official PMI data is due from China over the weekend

The Manufacturing PMI

  • Expected is 50.0 and Prior was 49.8

Also the Non-Manufacturing PMI

  • Prior was 53.4

The Manufacturing PMI particularly is a high-focus item, and a surprise result can impact particularly on the Australian dollar, which is a 'proxy' trade for China.

The data is due on Sunday 1 November at 0100GMT ... when markets are closed. Which could make the New Zealand opening an interesting one on Monday.

The last thing you really want to be doing with your weekend is nervously awaiting an 'interesting' Monday opening ...amIright?

(Note, the private PMI survey, the Caixin Markit Manufacturing PMI is due on Monday 2 November at 0145GMT)
