The Bank of Canada governor Stephen Poloz speaks at 14.00 GMT

The data calendar has it listed as a major event but I've just checked the BOC website and found this:

  • Event - Stephen S. Poloz, Governor & Carolyn Wilkins, Senior Deputy Governor

Roberta Bondar Public School, 159 Lorry Greenberg Drive, Ottawa, ON K1T 3J6, Canada
    10:00 (ET)

The Governor and Senior Deputy Governor will speak to the students of Roberta Bondar Public School and École élémentaire publique Gabrielle-Roy about the public consultation to select a Canadian woman to be featured on a bank note.

Remarks will be not published on the Bank's website, but the event will be webcast.

Hardly seems like a major risk event but you never know. Students can be an inquisitive and interrogative bunch and may want to get more info out of their CB governor.

Either way I just thought I'd give you the heads-up.
