Its a central bank speeches day in Asia; Bank of Japan, Reserve Bank of Australia and, from the US Federal Reserve:

  • Due at 0100GMT, Lael Brainard, member of the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors speaks at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research Associates Meeting
  • The subject matter is on the Lower Neutral Rate and its Implications for Monetary Policy

-

The most recent comments I've heard from Brainard were a defence of taking a very slow approach to rate hikes. Mind you, that was when external (to the US) fears were more intense than now, so she may have hardened up a little since. We'll soon find out.
