Founder member of the legendary Allman Brothers Band has sadly passed 28 May
In a week of tragedy we must keep things in perspective but sad nonetheless to hear that Gregg Alllman has left this mortal coil aged 69.
Seems like Gregg made more than one attempt find a way out over the years after his guitarist brother Duane was tragically killed in a motor cycle accident in 1971 but he leaves a real legacy.
Southern rock, and indeed all of us with eclectic musical taste, owe him, his brother and the various band members a huge thank-you.
RIP Gregg. Peace at last.
