Here's the quick update on Greek weekend news

-

OK, so now that the Riga meeting is out of the way, whats next on the schedule?

Via Barclays:

  • Greece should eventually be able to secure the E7.2bn tranche
  • There's an increasingly high risk of an accident in the short term (liquidity, political)
  • The real deadline is end-June when the current programme expires and by when a new programme has to be agreed in order to secure greater financial obligations
  • We assess Greece's financing needs to be at least E25-30bn for the next 12-18 months

Dates:

  • Greece is to pay €200m to the IMF on May 1 and €780m to them again on May 12
  • Next Eurogroup meeting is scheduled for 11 May
