  • US growth likely to be 1.5% to 1.75% this year

One thing that's different about 2017 is that the Fed is setting a very low bar for growth. In the past, they've forecast a similar amount of hikes but with 3% growth. This time, when GDP remains sluggish, they're still going to hit what they expect, and presumably that will be enough to hike rates. The caveat though is inflation and the assumption that it will follow growth and job gains.
