Junker says no deal with Greece without IMF invoplvement

  • Deadline for deal in first week of June
  • Greece must find a way to pay IMF by 5th June

Tough words coming from Junker

The EC president is talking to MNI and he seems to be putting his foot down. He says that there is an increasing sentiment among "reasonable EU leaders" that a default must be avoided.

Perhaps the most striking assumption to be taken from that is that there are other leaders who aren't being reasonable and want Greece to shape up or ship out

He also adds that Tsipras must prove to the rest of the EU that he is trustworthy

Bloomberg are just reporting a Greek official saying that the Brussels meeting today has been pushed back until tomorrow and that they will be holding a teleconference call today instead
