USD under pressure against EUR and JPY

The euro hit a session high at 1.0891. There is talk of offers at 1.0900 positioned to slow the gains.

The theme at the moment is risk aversion and that's put USD/JPY under some pressure as well. Since US trading got underway that pair has slipped to 122.87 from 123.30.

JOLTS data is due in just over an hour. The next main event to watch is the opening of the US stock market. S&P 500 futures are down 21.5 points to 2059. If that holds up, the 40 point gain after non-farm payrolls on Friday will be nearly wiped out.
