Fed Chair Yellen will be joined by past Fed Chairmen Bernanke, Greenspan AND Volker in what would be a Dream Team of US central bankers. How will it go for Yellen? Well she may be the smallest of the 4 in stature, and the only woman. However, she is the one in charge and what she says, goes (at least for the time being). Last week she said that she is not in any hurry to normalize rates. The panel discussion will take place at the International House - a NY nonprofit that seeks to bring together students from different countries.
Although the venue would suggest a congenial atmosphere, the potential exists for a slip up (although Yellen is pretty calculated in what she has to say most of the time), or some confrontational disagreement. That could cause some volatility in what is a limited liquidity time period. So be aware.
