This may be what's putting a bid in the US dollar, but tread carefully

There's talk that a ZeroHedge story that's doing the rounds (that evidently originated on Infowars) is what's helping the US dollar.

It's a clip of a video of Comey saying he wasn't pressured to end an investigation. It's framed as him saying he wasn't pressured politically. And it's being passed around as proof -- under oath -- that Trump didn't pressure him.

But if you listen to the actual clip. He's asked specifically if someone at the Department of Justice or the Attorney General had ever asked him to halt an investigation.

"If the Attorney General or senior officials at the Department of Justice oppose a specific investigation, can they halt that FBI investigation?," is what Mazie Hirono asks. "Has it happened?"

He's not asked if he was pressured by the White House or anyone else or something more broadly.

It's not the gotcha moment it's being billed as. Decide for yourself.
